High-quality leadership experiences are one of the FFA trademarks. Each year the National FFA Organization coordinates an International Leadership Seminar for State Officers (ILSSO). This program is an enrichment opportunity for current state FFA officers who wish to broaden their horizons by witnessing agriculture and cultural traditions while traveling abroad.
LSSO participants develop a global perspective and become more culturally aware of the diversity in agriculture around the world and helps ensure that our state leaders have a diverse set of skills - and a working knowledge of what agriculture and trade looks like on the international level.
All six Kansas FFA State Officers will take part in this immersive leadership experience in January 2020. They will travel to Spain and Portugal with other state FFA officers from around the country. The cost of the trip is $5,000 per student.
Has travel and an appreciation for the global agriculture industry been important to you? Would you consider making a tax-deductible donation via the Kansas FFA Foundation, a 501 (c) 3 organization to help off-set costs associated with participating in this program?
From now through November 1, I will be accepting contributions for our January 2-16, 2019, ILSSO trip. Or they can be made online at http://weblink.donorperfect.com/ILSSO2020.
